Day 1 - Nykøbning/Berlin

1st entry – Day one

So, our trip started today.
I woke up at around 6 in the morning, getting only 3 hours of sleep. 6 hours later, we were at the station. Our futuristic spaceship-like train took off, and our journey to Germany began. Me and Nicolas kept cracking jokes about the unusual train toilet. Had three strangers laughing, was funny.
Then train ended up on a ship. We pulled out our wannabe “ghetto-blaster” and played the new placebo album. Good stuff. Finally arrived in Berlin. Walked around in amazement: modernistic city, with beautiful views, loads of nice restaurants, and fake “beach resorts” in the middle of the city. Not at all what we had expected. Looked at the awesome “Europe on a shoestring “ Lonely Planet book we bought, and read about a hostel which seemed nice.
Spent about 30 minutes getting to it, turned out it was fully booked. Visited 3 other hostels, all fully booked. Goddamnit! Finally got lucky, got 2 beds in an 8 room dorm.
Exhaustion was quite overwhelming, after a bit of chilling, we went out to get dinner. Spent ages looking for a “zomg this is awesome” place, kind of failed at that, but found a nice Italian restaurant not far away. Had a good meal, had loads of fun examining and quantifying our surrounding people.
Reached untamed and as of yet unknown depths of perception of the human psyche :D.
Think imam sleep now, a little bit tired, and need to be fresh tomorrow.
